In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. The supplemental Hourly Allowance of $4.94 per hour ($10,000 per annum/2022.75 hours in a year = $4.94 per hour) shall be paid per pay period for all Employer-paid hours at the basic rate of pay (exclusive of overtime and call-back hours). Potential for some additional monetary incentive through HSAA Rural Capacity Investment Fund if position qualifies.
Description:
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Current, provisional or transferable registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) as a Pharmacist.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) from the Alberta College of Pharmacy is required or is required to be obtained within 1 year effective of original AHS hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current pharmacy experience in an acute hospital/direct patient care setting providing comprehensive medication management services considered an asset. Connect Care/EPIC software experience also an asset.
