JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day interaction with clients, processing talent payment and issuing
client invoices. This is a key, “self-starter” position that requires extreme accuracy, attention to detail, and
timeliness, all of which are essential to compliance with union collective bargaining agreements. The ideal candidate
will have knowledge of ACTRA, UDA and SAG-AFTRA commercial agreements and will take a proactive approach
to duties and responsibilities in a collaborative manner. Discretion in handling company and private/personal client
and employee information is required, along with a positive attitude, professional ethics, appearance, and conduct.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processing of session contracts, residuals, holding and use fees.

Client support for talent payment related inquiries by unions and talent agents.

Verification of payment entries.

Responsible for meeting all client and union deadlines.

Consult and advise, clients on union regulations.

Back-up and assist or fill in for colleagues when required.

Assist with additional or special tasks or projects as requested (this would be after learning systems and procedures).

Handle incoming client, employee and inquiry phone calls professionally and as-needed and inform department management of issues or seek assistance with questions or inquiries as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of Canadian Advertising Talent Agreements (ACTRA, UDA, CFM) and U.S. commercial union agreements (SAG-AFTRA, AFM).

Mastery in working with numerical data and making arithmetic calculations rapidly.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Bilingual (English/French) an asset.

Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with clients, colleagues, and staff.

Positive attitude and outstanding client service skills.

Professional interaction with colleagues, team members and other department staff as well as management and executives in a business office setting. Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily, monthly and quarterly, goals.

Superior PC Computer skills and ability and willingness to learn new and/or proprietary computer applications as required.

CREDENTIALS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
-
Experience working with U.S. and Canadian performer unions (SAG-AFTRA, ACTRA, UDA AFM/CFM), preferred.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ work experience in advertising or entertainment talent payroll, preferred.

Must have either some University business courses or equivalent work experience.
