Job Summary:
The Sr. Document Control Specialist will perform the capture of product/part data, bill of materials, and Engineering changes in the Product Lifecycle Management system in support of new product development and sustaining engineering cross-functional teams; as well as participate or lead process and systems development and improvement projects across the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Join a team of individual contributors who: o Create and maintain:
- Item master (product/part and document) records
- Bill of materials (BOM)
- Approved manufacturer lists (AML) data, under direction of/with input from various engineering and supply chain functions
- Project, procedural and engineering document control and release
- Engineering Change management including creation of Engineering Change (ECx) records, directly working with external suppliers and anufacturing partners as required, and resolve documentation issues
- Perform item master, BOM, and engineering change data analysis and reporting
- Support new product development teams, sustaining engineering, customer service, and a multitude of process development/improvement projects across the business leveraging database systems
- Help resolve business/system issues working with other engineering and supply chain managers and associates
- Escalate system/business issues through the appropriate organizational branch as necessary
- Support all projects/lead small projects or tracks within a larger project to:
- Improve process/data (quality, cycle time, etc.)
- Automate data entry/capture tasks
- Meet new business requirements
- Support mergers and acquisitions
- Implement cost reductions on product
- Business system upgrades/transitions
- Maintain high level of interaction with internal customers, suppliers and other team members via tele/video conference or in person meetings as applicable
- Help Document Control Management train internal and external team members on documentation and process requirements

Job Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Degree in Business Management (or related discipline) or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum Work Experience (years): 8+ years in engineering, business management, or operations (manufacturing) environment
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Familiarity with engineering terminology
- General understanding of:
- Electronics manufacturing
- Most business functions
- Intermediate understanding of:
- Design and manufacturing flows
- Product development and release for sale flow
- Product configuration management
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
- Working knowledge of concepts with program management approaches, tools, and methodologies
- Agile Project Management aware
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office, MS Excel
- Team player, self-starter and detail focused
- Technical Writer Skills is a plus
- Familiarity with PowerBI is a plus
Pay: $27.19 per hour
