Overview
We are seeking professional, team-orientated and energetic Host with fine dining experience to join our exciting open-kitchen restaurant. This role is essential in supporting the front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and excellent communication and customer service skills. Calm demeanour under pressure, friendly nature, and meticulous time management are essential for our NY Italian food that has the service style to match the face-pace of the city without compromising guest care. This position offers a supportive, vibrant environment and boasts a "succeed together" mentality to service. We are looking for applicants who are positive, motivated and reliable. Restaurant experience required -- willingness to learn, collaborate and give it your all are necessary.

Duties
- Operate our reservation system to manage reservations and walk ins
- Use critical thinking to facilitate the maximum possible guests accepted as well as adjustments to provide the best experience possible
- Communicate with serving and management team on timing of arrivals, reservation notes and allergies, when applicable
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages, clearing and cleaning tables, resetting for next courses and water service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas and ongoing maintenance of service station stocking and cleanliness.
- Manage guest requests efficiently, providing friendly guest services to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy service periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- SmartServe certification.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
