The Opportunity
We're growing — and we need a hungry, driven, and well-connected Regional Business Development Manager to lead our expansion across the Atlantic provinces. This is your region to own. You'll be the face of Star Energy Solutions in Atlantic Canada, building relationships, opening doors, and closing deals with organizations that stand to gain significantly from our energy cost reduction solutions.

What You'll Do
- Identify, prospect, and engage new clients across the Atlantic provinces through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person meetings
- Build and nurture a strong pipeline of opportunities in target sectors including supermarkets, cold storage facilities, hotels, commercial buildings, and municipalities
- Present and position Star Energy Solutions' services — including energy audits, recommissioning (EBCx), measurement & verification, monitoring & tracking, incentive management, and project management — to decision-makers
- Develop tailored proposals that speak directly to a client's financial goals (payback periods, IRR, NPV)
- Represent Star Energy at industry events, trade shows, and community functions across the region
- Collaborate closely with the internal technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and satisfaction
- Track activity, pipeline, and results through CRM and reporting tools
- Stay informed on energy efficiency trends, utility incentive programs, and market developments in Atlantic Canada
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Minimum 3 years of B2B service sales experience with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding targets
- A self-starter mentality — you don't wait for leads to come to you; you go get them
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfort with cold calling, door knocking, and building a pipeline from scratch
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Atlantic provinces
- Based in New Brunswick (preferred) or elsewhere in Atlantic Canada
- An established network of contacts in the region across relevant sectors is a significant asset
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, casual, and fast-paced environment
- Open mindset — eager to learn, grow, and adapt
Nice-to-Haves:
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, building systems (refrigeration, HVAC, controls, lighting), or sustainability
- Familiarity with utility incentive programs in Atlantic Canada (NB Power, NS Power, Efficiency PEI, NL Hydro, etc.)
- Experience selling to facility managers, operations directors, or procurement teams
