Role and Objectives:
The Epicor ERP Business Analyst is a key member of the IT Solutioning, Intelligence & Analytics Team, responsible for the administration, optimization, and development of our new Epicor ERP platform (Kinetic) and its integrated systems. This role blends technical proficiency with business insight to drive innovation, streamline operations, and support organizational growth. This position is eligible for remote work within Western Canada and requires occasional travel to company manufacturing sites in the West Kootenay region, including Castlegar, Thrums, and South Slocan, British Columbia.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Administration & Technical Operations
- Administer and maintain the Epicor Kinetic ERP environment to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
- Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues to reduce downtime.
- Manage upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
- Support data migrations, performance tuning, and environment management.
Systems Development, Integrations & Solution Design
- Design and implement ERP enhancements and integrations aligned with evolving business needs.
- Develop and maintain Epicor components including BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, REST integrations, Application Studio layers, and DMT data loads.
- Integrate Epicor with external systems using REST APIs, SQL, .NET, and middleware.
- Identify automation and process‑improvement opportunities with cross‑functional teams.
- Lead or support solution architecture for complex business challenges.
User Support, Reporting & Project Execution
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end users and stakeholders.
- Lead or support ERP projects from planning through post‑implementation, including testing, validation, and compliance.
- Develop and deliver reporting and analytics using Power BI, SQL, and Epicor reporting tools.
Business Analysis & Process Optimization
- Analyze and document business processes and system requirements with stakeholders.
- Map workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and improved system utilization.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for IT teams and vendors.
- Support configuration, testing, deployment, and integration of enterprise applications and SaaS platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy and reporting integrity across systems and business processes.
Other Requirements
- Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable access to a personal vehicle for inter-site travel (eligible for mileage reimbursement).
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of desk-based tasks and on-site support across office and manufacturing environments; requiring adaptability and attention to safety.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when entering designated facility areas. (e.g. hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, and eye/ear protection).
- Occasional exposure to high noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and industrial hazards.
- Ability to concentrate on screen-based tasks for extended durations.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs and operate hand tools as needed.
Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent education & experience).
- Epicor ERP and CBAP (Business Analysis) certifications are desirable.
Experience:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (Kinetic) is required.
- 3+ years as a Business Analyst or Developer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, and module expansions.
- Experience with system integrations, data analytics, and process improvement methodologies is an asset.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Epicor ERP administration, configuration, customization, and reporting tools (BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, REST API, Application Studio, and reporting tools) is required.
- Strong understanding of business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operations.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis and business process modeling.
- Clear communicator with solid technical writing and end-user documentation skills.
- Strong project/time management and delivery across cross-functional teams.
- Creative problem solver with a sharp analytical mindset.
- Vendor management and procurement experience.
Compensation Package:
- Salary: $87,200.00 – $109,000.00 (Dependent on experience)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
