About this Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable HSE Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to HSE Manager for the maintenance and continual improvement of our Health and Safety program and COR status. HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) work with occupational health and safety specialists to help prevent harm to workers, property, the environment, and the public.
This position will primarily be in an office environment, but there will be times that you will be required to work in a shop environment. Local travel between locations will also be required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents, training sessions, and other HSE-related activities
- Scan, track and file preventive maintenance, meeting and training records
- Assist in administering of the modified work program, including assignment of sedentary work activities
- Conduct and document monthly safety inspections
- Provide assistance and support for both Safety and QMS audits
- Maintain an adequate provision of safety supplies
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Office 365
- Reliable transportations.
- Ability to perform manual labor tasks.
Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour
