Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our grain farming operation until harvest is complete (September-October). The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating large farm machinery and assisting with various tasks. This role requires mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and experience with large farm equipment such as combines, tractors, and various construction equipment.
Duties
- Operate large farm equipment including combines, tractors, and various construction equipment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Follow instructions and specifications to execute tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards and practices.
- Operate commercial vehicles as needed for transportation of equipment or materials.
- Seasonal Employment could mean longer hours during harvest.
- Working with a team to accomplish daily targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating large farm machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Housing can be provided to the proper candidate.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL).
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in outdoor conditions.
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
