Duties and Responsibilities
- Write own simple 2D programs from production drawings
- Machine parts using Okuma, Fanuc or Heidenhain controllers
- Set up and operate machines (CNC Lathes or VMC/HBM machines) using proper tools and the most efficient techniques
- Plans machining by studying work orders, materials, specifications, and machining parameters
- Operate manual lathe when required
- Maximize efficiencies of production
- Keep the machine in good working order through scheduled preventative maintenance
- Understand the principles of ISO
- Protect self and others by following the Company Health and Safety Policy and practicing safe work habits
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and safe from hazards
- Other functions that may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
General Machinist Ticket
Minimum 8+ years of CNC machining experience
Ability to write own CNC program
Technical/Mechanical troubleshooting skills
Familiar with Okuma, Fanuc or Heidenhain controllers
