Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Civil Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for laying and installing underground piping systems with precision and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical systems, and various hand and power tools. The Civil Pipelayer will work on diverse projects, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and project specifications. Candidates should possess relevant technical skills, including experience with excavators, backhoes to efficiently perform their duties in a dynamic construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Lay and install underground pipelines according to blueprints and project plans
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, fitting, and securing piping components
- Conduct welding on piping sections when necessary to ensure secure connections
- Manage low voltage electrical connections associated with pipeline systems
- Assist with rigging and lifting operations to position pipes accurately
- Inspect installed piping for quality control and adherence to safety standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer or in similar heavy construction roles
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions for extended periods
- Valid certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation are preferred but not mandatory
