Controller / Senior Bookkeeper (Part-Time)
3 Days per Week | In Office | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
We are an established residential home builder and multi-unit developer seeking an experienced Controller / Senior Bookkeeper to oversee the accounting functions for multiple corporations.
This is a hands-on, part-time position for a highly organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional reconciliation skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple corporations.
- Perform bank, credit card, general ledger, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and HST filings.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
- Assist with job costing for residential and multi-unit construction projects.
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial reporting to management.
- Prepare year-end working papers and coordinate with external accountants.
- Ensure accurate financial records and maintain strong internal controls.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Controller.
- Extensive reconciliation experience is essential.
- Experience in residential home building, construction, or real estate is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing accounting for multiple corporations.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
