INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST
We are currently looking for Inventory Control Specialist for our Brooklyn, NS facility.
The Inventory Control Specialist will work on business, technical, and technology-related projects to help Aqualitas develop and execute new processes for inventory management, product storage, sales tracking, automation, and improved customer services. They will aid in the development, assessment, and validation of new processes in our post-production, quality assurance, fulfillment, and sales departments. They will investigate potential utilization of AI technologies for improvement of our inventory, sales, and customer service management.
Responsibilities:

Help develop, test, input and validate new processes related to inventory management (order control, stock management, warehouse management, order accuracy) supply chain optimization, product storage, sales tracking, automation, and improved customer services.

Take readings, measurements, perform product tests, and perform checks on research trials and when assessing new processes and products.

Enter and complete preliminary analysis on the data collected above.

Collect, enter, and process data from probes related to R&D activities and new processes.

Calibrate and maintain the relevant probes to ensure data integrity.

Research, trial, and implement new technologies (e.g. AI) for improvement of inventory control, sales tracking, and inventory/sales alignment.

Researching and proposing potential methods for reworking aged, returned, or lower value product.

Aid in writing reports summarizing the methods used and information collected above.

Aid in the development of multimedia materials related to our R&D and new processes, e.g. helping to develop video/social media content related to our new processes.

Support business development related to science and technology activities (e.g. potential development of the AI model, should it prove effective).

Ensure proper compliance with Health Canada and other regulatory requirements, Occupational Health & Safety Act regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), Good Production Practices (GPP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company policies.

Working safely by exercising due diligence and reporting any hazards to the H&S Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

Post Secondary Graduate

OH&S and WHMIS

The position requires a flexible work schedule – you must be willing and able to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Skill Requirements:

Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.

Proficient keyboarding skills.

Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.

Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labour tasks required for employment in a commercial scale indoor growing facility.

Ability to lift 50lbs

Job requires lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching and standing for extended periods of time.

Excellent comprehension, communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Excel, Warehouse Management Systems WMS and asset
