Job Overview
The Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CITCM) is seeking an organized, professional, and student-focused individual to join our team as Acupuncture Clinic Coordinator. This position supports the daily operation of CITCM’s acupuncture teaching clinic and helps ensure a safe, efficient, and positive clinical learning environment for students, supervisors, staff, and patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily operations and scheduling of the student clinic.
- Support clinic supervisors, teaching assistants, student interns, and reception staff.
- Ensure students follow clinic policies, safety procedures, documentation requirements, and professional standards.
- Assist with patient flow, room assignments, practitioner schedules, and clinic resources.
- Monitor clinic supplies, equipment, treatment rooms, and general readiness.
- Support the implementation of clinic evaluations, safety protocols, and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Respond to routine student and patient concerns and refer complex matters to the Clinic Director or appropriate administrator.
- Assist with incident documentation, follow-up procedures, and communication with clinic leadership.
- Maintain accurate clinic records while respecting confidentiality and privacy requirements.
- Participate in clinic meetings, student orientations, training sessions, and institutional activities.
Qualifications
- Hold acupuncture license in Canada and completed education or professional experience in acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, other related healthcare profession for minimum of 1 year.
- Previous experience in a clinic, healthcare, educational, or administrative environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with students, faculty, patients, and staff.
- Knowledge of professional conduct, patient privacy, informed consent, and clinical safety practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, scheduling systems, and electronic records.
- A professional, respectful, and collaborative approach to leadership.
