Duties
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using dental practice management software such as progident
- Schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and manage appointment changes to optimize office workflow.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls accurately and professionally.
- Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and transparency.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing correspondence.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient service.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in a medical office environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, Epic software, Dentrix practice management system, and electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Demonstrated office experience with proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and data entry.
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and understanding of insurance verification processes.
- Ability to stay organized under pressure while providing friendly, professional service to patients.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
