Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our team. This is a hands-on physical role and you will be working on active sites (residential, commercial, and rural). You'll be part of a team that is responsible for keeping our sites clean, safe, and running efficiently. EMRO is a fast-moving startup, so this role is ideal for someone who shows up and is ready to work hard.
This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery and performing manual labour tasks to support projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment such as loaders, excavators, telehandlers, skid steers, and fork lifts. Mechanical knowledge and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, skid steers, and fork lifts
- Perform routine maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment before use and report any issues promptly.
- Assist with manual labour tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and assisting other crew members during projects.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transporting equipment or materials when required.

- Valid drivers license and vehicle.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently and safely.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
