Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing orders and payments.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet health regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Assist in restocking supplies and ensuring the food counter is organized and inviting for customers.
- Uphold a positive attitude and teamwork to create a welcoming environment for both customers and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations.
- Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
- Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for serving others is essential.
