Job Description:
Innovative Access is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Equipment Technicien to join our high-rise equipment installation team in the Ottawa – Gatineau region. The installer will collaborate with our design and project management team to redefine Ottawa-Gatineau-Montreal skyline. Our team specializes in the design, fabrication, installation and testing of high-rise access equipment for window cleaning, building maintenance, and fall protection systems.
You will be an important part of the team from the beginning of a project all the way through fabrication and construction of our high-rise maintenance equipment. If you are up for a challenge and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this position is for you.
Your Role:
· Lead the installation of window cleaning and fall protection equipment. This includes but is not limited to roof anchors, davit bases, horizontal lifeline systems, etc.
· Perform equipment load testing and commissioning of on-site.
· Prepare tools, equipment, and materials prior to site work.
· Organize equipment and inventory.
· Prepare mock-ups prior to installation.
· Development of new equipment concepts and in-house testing of prototypes.
· Deliver equipment on site / pickup from suppliers in company truck.
Abilities:
· Work physically and lift heavy items at times.
· Climb ladders and flights of stairs as required.
· Working with hand tools and powered tools.
· Enthusiastic and positive mindset.
Qualifications:
· Valid working at heights training will be considered an asset.
· Valid government security clearance will be considered an asset.
· Valid drivers G licence.
· Minimum 5 years of construction experience.
· Experience installing / using fall protection equipment is considered an asset.
Hourly Rate: $22.00-$35.00
