We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and experienced Private Homeschool Teacher to provide one-on-one instruction for a Grade 8 student in a home-based learning environment.
We are seeking someone who can go beyond traditional classroom teaching and make learning engaging, practical, and fun, while ensuring the student stays on track with the Alberta Grade 8 curriculum.
Requirements
- Junior High teaching experience is a must
- Familiarity with the Alberta Grade 8 curriculum
- Strong Math skills and teaching ability are essential
- Flexible with work hours and scheduling
- Must be mobile and able to travel to the parents’ home for in-home instruction
- Creative and able to teach outside the box, adapting lessons to the student’s interests and learning style
- Willing to go beyond the standard curriculum and incorporate real-world learning and life topics such as current events, geography, general knowledge, and hands-on learning and educational field trips
- Bachelor of Education Degree

We are looking for an educator who can balance academic achievement with real-world education, helping the student develop confidence, independence, critical thinking, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
