Located in Happy Valley–Goose Bay, Labrador, Mamu Tshishkutamashutau Innu Education (MTIE) is dedicated to supporting the educational journey of the Innu Nation. With two schools in Natuashish and Sheshatshiu, MTIE serves approximately 1,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, fostering a culturally grounded and student-centered learning environment.

About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Data Analyst Coordinator supports organizational planning, accountability, and continuous improvement through the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data.
Working closely with Directors, school administrators, project leads, and other stakeholders, the Data Analyst Coordinator develops meaningful insights, dashboards, and reporting tools that support evidence-based decision making across the organization. This role plays a key part in helping MTIE measure progress, evaluate programs, and strengthen outcomes for students and communities.
This position is based in Happy Valley–Goose Bay, NL, a regional hub in Labrador offering essential services, strong community infrastructure, and access to outdoor recreation.
Key Responsibilities

Collect, organize, and maintain data from multiple sources, including student information systems, attendance records, assessments, operational data, and program reports.

Analyze student, school, program, and organizational data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools that support evidence-based decision making.

Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for the Chief Executive Officer, Directors, Board of Trustees, funding agencies, and external partners.

Support program evaluation and performance measurement using both quantitative and qualitative data.

Collaborate with school administrators, Directors, project leads, and other stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and reporting requirements.

Support strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational improvement initiatives through data-informed analysis.

Provide guidance and support to staff in the interpretation and use of data.
Requirements
Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Education, or a related field.

Graduate education in a related discipline is considered an asset.

Relevant certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or project management are considered assets.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or performance measurement.

Experience working in an education, public sector, Indigenous, or community-based environment is considered an asset.

Experience working with student information systems, databases, and reporting platforms is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and information management principles.

Proficiency with data analysis tools, spreadsheet applications, database systems, and Google Workspace.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated cultural competence, including experience working with Indigenous communities and awareness of Innu culture and values; fluency in Innu-Aimun is considered an asset.
