Staff Accountant / CPA Candidate

We are looking for a Staff Accountant or CPA Candidate to join our public practice firm. Whether you are an experienced accounting professional or just beginning your CPA journey, this is an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can continue to learn, take on new responsibilities, and build lasting relationships with clients.
As a smaller firm, you'll work directly with our partners and be involved in all aspects of client engagements. You'll gain experience in assurance, accounting, bookkeeping, and tax while working with a variety of clients across different industries. Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns
- Preparing financial statements and working paper files
- Performing bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and year-end adjustments
- Working with CaseWare, Jazzit, QuickBooks, Sage 50 (Simply Accounting), and Microsoft Office
- Communicating with clients and assisting them with accounting and financial reporting matters
- Providing administrative support as required

For Experienced Candidates
The following experience would be considered an asset:
- Public practice accounting
- Audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Corporate and personal income tax preparation
- Bookkeeping using QuickBooks and Sage 50 (Simply Accounting)
- Experience with CaseWare, Jazzit, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
