Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Manager, to oversee Operations for Calgary and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for employees and visitors alike. The ideal candidate should also have excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain up to 70 clients. All clients will be split amongst operations managers based on location, prior experience or luck-of-the-draw.
- Assist in initial training of new team members. Complete follow up training of current team members when required.
- Maintenance and upkeep of cleaning supplies.
- Repair and maintenance on equipment and machines.
- Deliver equipment to new sites or replenish supplies at current sites.
- Complete Quality Assurance inspections at all sites on an ongoing basis.
- Meet with clients regularly to give them the opportunity to share feedback and build a relationship.
- Complete “odd jobs” when required.
- Ensure your sites are always covered, when custodians take time off.
- Cover cleaning shifts when required.
- Assist in finding new team members to fill positions as needed.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
- Leading and managing a team of people
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Previous porter or custodial experience is advantageous for this role
- Basic knowledge of computers, including Gmail and Google Docs
