Lead Field Installer / Working Foreman
Are you a seasoned installer who loves to get your hands dirty but also has a knack for leadership? We're looking for a highly skilled Lead Field Installer / Working Foreman to join our team. In this role, you won't just supervise — you'll be on the tools every day, working alongside your crew, setting the standard for excellence and efficiency on every project.
If you have 7-10+ years of hands-on construction experience, deep technical knowledge across multiple trades and building systems, and a passion for mentoring junior staff, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
-
Work directly on installations while providing expert guidance and training to your team and laborers
-
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure precise execution
-
Lead and coordinate your installation team, fostering a collaborative, productive work environment
-
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, project specifications, and quality workmanship
-
Anticipate issues, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
-
Communicate project progress, challenges, and directives to project and field managers via phone, email, and cloud-based platforms
-
Oversee daily site conditions, document progress, manage material flow, and assist with scheduling sub-trades and phases of work
-
Professionally interact with clients, homeowners, sub-trades, product reps, inspectors, and other stakeholders
What You Bring:
-
7-10+ years of hands-on experience in construction or installation, with proven proficiency across tools and trade disciplines
-
Strong, broad construction knowledge — you understand how different building systems and trade sequences fit together, not just your own specialty, and can speak confidently to methods, materials, and code requirements on site
-
Blueprint fluency — comfortable reading and applying schematics and project plans without hand-holding
-
Proven leadership — experience leading small teams and mentoring junior staff
-
Sharp organizational skills — able to follow scopes of work, document site conditions, and manage daily progress independently
-
Strong communicator, verbal and written, for both internal and client-facing interactions
-
Safety-first mindset with a solid working knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
-
Adaptable and proactive — thinks ahead and gets in front of problems before they become delays
-
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
-
Physical capability for strenuous, hands-on installation work
-
High school diploma or equivalent; additional trade certifications/training an asset
