We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Cashier/Sales associate to join our retail team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs
- Upsell additional items and promote ongoing sales campaigns
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
- Ensure adherence to store policies regarding cash handling and transaction procedures
Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features clearly
- Upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, especially in English and other languages relevant to the customer base
- Knowledge of retail merchandising standards and practices
- Effective phone etiquette for remote customer interactions
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
