A reputable and fast growing commercial cleaning company is seeking an experienced candidate to take on the role of "Building Services Worker" to support our Operations Manager at a modern condo building downtown Vancouver.
This is an entry level supervisory position that requires someone who ideally has commercial cleaning and leadership experience (however we are willing to train someone with the right attitude and experience in physical work).
COMPENSATION:
- $25/hour + 4% vacation paid each cheque
- Extended benefits package
HOURS:
Monday - 4 hours
Wednesday - 4 hours
Friday - 4 hours
Saturday - 8 hours
Sunday - 8 hours
Each shift starts at 8:30am. We are open to you bringing a helper and splitting the shift (4 hours each) on Saturdays and Sundays.
DUTIES:
- Perform daily inspections to determine what needs priority cleaning
- Provide ongoing commercial cleaning services to a modern condo building
- Be able to prioritize cleaning and follow rotational tasks
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom cleaning, and other general cleaning
- Report in to the Service Manager on cleaning progress
- Report specific building needs such as lights, broken items, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English (oral and written)
- Must be comfortable using a smart phone (texting, emailing)
- Ideally some commercial cleaning experience, BSW (Building Service Worker certificate) preferred
- Ideally some leadership experience, preferred
