GENERAL MANAGER – ANYTIME FITNESS VERNON
About The Role
We're seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the growth of Anytime Fitness Vernon. This is a high-ownership position: you'll drive membership sales, build a Results-focused culture, optimize member retention, and manage all revenue streams (memberships, personal training, corporate partnerships). Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Lead membership sales—personally close deals and coach staff on consultative selling
- Drive Results membership adoption—target 40%+ Results penetration
- Manage personal training and ancillary revenue streams
- Hit monthly membership and revenue targets with weekly KPI accountability
Member Experience & Retention
- Monitor member engagement: track weekly active members, class attendance, retention rate
- Proactively re-engage at-risk members through personal outreach, training, or programming
- Resolve member inquiries professionally and exceed service expectations
- Foster a positive, inclusive community culture that keeps members coming back
Operations & Leadership
- Manage day-to-day operations: staff supervision, facility maintenance, cleanliness, safety standards
- Recruit, hire, train, and motivate a high-performing team (coaches, front desk, support staff)
- Track and optimize facility standards and equipment condition
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety protocols
Marketing & Growth
- Own lead generation and conversion: track lead-to-trial and trial-to-membership metrics
- Collaborate on Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns; monitor cost-per-acquisition
- Respond to Google Reviews daily—build 4.8+ star rating and 50+ monthly reviews
- Organize community events and partnerships to drive awareness and memberships
- Stay current with local fitness market trends and competitor positioning
Financial Management
- Assist in P&L responsibility with specific targets for revenue, retention, and net profit
- Create and manage annual budgets; track and optimize expenses
- Develop quarterly action plans and report weekly on KPI progress
About You
- 2+ years gym management, fitness sales experience, or high-level hospitality experience (preferred: track record of scaling or turnaround)
- Strong sales leadership—comfortable closing deals and coaching others
- Data-driven: comfortable with analytics, KPIs, member management systems
- Comfortable with digital tools: email marketing, Meta/Google Ads, CRM systems
- Personable team player with a great attitude—fun, coachable, career-minded
- Ability to work with and motivate people from all backgrounds
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
