Overview
We’re looking for an experienced, organized, and passionate Kitchen Lead / Cook to help build and grow the food & beverage experience at our hotel.
This role will initially focus on buffet and group dining operations, with the opportunity to grow into expanded food service offerings as the restaurant continues to evolve. We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating efficient kitchen operations, takes pride in quality and presentation, and wants to be part of building something long-term.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, operationally strong, guest-focused, and understands how to balance food quality, efficiency, organization, and cost control in a hospitality environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service
- Prepare and execute buffet and group dining menus efficiently and consistently
- Food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and quality standards
- Manage food handling procedures in compliance with safety regulations and health codes
- Lead and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold restaurant standards
- Train new staff on food safety, service protocols, and kitchen procedures
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages or waste
- Manage food cost control, portioning, and waste reduction
- Ensure proper food storage, rotation, and kitchen organization
- Receive and organize deliveries and kitchen supplies
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Implement best practices in hospitality to enhance overall dining experience
- Support efficient kitchen workflow and team coordination during service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service, kitchen, banquet, catering, hotel, or restaurant experience with leadership responsibilities
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Reliable, solution-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Passion for hospitality and guest experience
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- Experience with restaurant operations, including serving, food industry practices, and customer service excellence
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; holidays and weekend availability is required

Pay: From $18.80 per hour
