Admiral Glass Ltd. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Glazier to join our organization. Duties
- Determine type of glass, frames and material required
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Measure, mark and cut glass
- Position and secure panes in frame
- Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products
- Install door, window and other hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Repair glass doors and other glass structures
- Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment
- Transport cases of glass
- Estimate costs and materials
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Facilitate and engage in team-based on-the-job learning activities
Experience & Education
Required: Completion of Secondary School
Required: Written and verbal communication in English
Minimum 3 years experience in this kind of role. Experience with materials and activities noted below:

Frame fabrication and installation
- Curtain wall (stock length material)

- Self-lubricating cutters

- Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts)
- Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts)

Installations
- Skylights and slope glazed installations
- Curtain walls
- Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems
- Overhead automatic doors
- Shower doors and tub enclosures
- Display cases
- Walls and other interior areas (i.e. partitions)
Equipment
- Carbide and diamond bits
- Brass tube bits
