We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead a unionized maintenance team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about safety, equipment reliability, and developing skilled trades while driving continuous improvement.
In this role, you'll supervise unionized maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact on production. You'll coordinate preventative and routine maintenance activities, partner closely with operations and planning teams, and help maximize equipment reliability while reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
You'll also mentor and coach employees, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards. Success in this role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial setting.
What We're Looking For
Red Seal Trade Certification, Mechanical Engineering diploma, or Mechanical Engineering degree
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience leading trades in a unionized industrial manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting experience
Proven commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
Experience planning preventative maintenance and coordinating with operations and maintenance planners
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Legal authorization to work in Canada at the time of application
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $100,000–$108,000
