Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part time Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your primary focus will be on the well-being of the dogs while ensuring excellent customer service to their owners. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with caring for dogs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts.
- Maintain cleanliness in the daycare area by regularly cleaning up after the dogs and sanitizing play equipment.
- Feed and provide fresh water to the dogs as per their individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise during their stay.
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, including bags of dog food and cleaning equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both dogs and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Dog Care or similar environment
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their care and well-being.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
