Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in managing front desk operations, maintaining electronic medical records, and ensuring smooth office workflows. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with medical and dental software, and a strong understanding of medical and dental terminology. The Administrator will serve as the first point of contact for patients and staff, contributing to an efficient and welcoming environment.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing exceptional customer service
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle appointment scheduling, inquiries, and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as Dentrix
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and reschedule as needed
- Assist with billing, insurance processing, and other administrative tasks related to medical and dental offices
- Support the clinical team by coordinating patient flow and ensuring documentation compliance
- Handle administrative correspondence, filing, and data entry with attention to detail
- Ensure the office remains organized, clean, and compliant with health regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a Medical Office environment
- Proficiency with Dentrix software preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology
- Excellent office experience including front desk operations and administrative support
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
