Overview
We are seeking a dedicated AZ LTL Driver with handbombing experience to join our team. This role involves transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and possess the necessary skills to handle freight securely and efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers committed to safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks for Less Than Truckload (LTL) freight deliveries across assigned routes
- Perform handbombing of freight, including loading and unloading cargo manually when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Secure freight properly using appropriate equipment to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or report issues promptly to ensure optimal functioning of equipment
Skills
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Experience with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
- Ability to perform manual labor including handbombing freight safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Basic automotive repair knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Excellent communication skills and reliability in adhering to schedules and safety protocols
