About the Property:
Quality Inn Chatham is a newly renovated, modern 43-room hotel offering clean, comfortable, and welcoming accommodations for both business and leisure travelers. As part of the trusted Choice Hotels brand, we take pride in maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Agent to join our team and help deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in creating a warm and welcoming environment. This position is responsible for handling guest check-ins and check-outs, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant stay for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Check guests in and out efficiently using the hotel’s PMS (Property Management System)
- Handle phone calls, make reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
- Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Address and resolve guest concerns or issues in a timely and courteous manner
- Process payments and maintain accurate records for all transactions
- Follow established front desk procedures and ensure compliance with brand standards
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate guest needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area at all times
- Maintain a clean lobby area, especially after breakfast times
- Prepare breakfast meals for all guests during the morning shift and clean up after breakfast time is over
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or front desk is preferred
- Hotel experience and familiarity with ChoiceAdvantage or similar PMS is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with multitasking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
