Kitchen Helper – Camp Kitchen
Location: Balmertown Creek Lodge, ON Remote Camp – Northern Ontario Schedule: 10 hour shifts Employment Type: Full-time
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our camp kitchen team. This role is essential in supporting daily food service operations and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
· Assist cooks with basic food preparation (washing, cutting, portioning)
· Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and storage areas
· Help with meal setup and cleanup
· Follow food safety and hygiene standards
· Complete other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset, but not required
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Strong work ethic and positive attitude
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
· Reliable and punctual
· Food Safety Certificate considered an asset (but not required)
· Must pass a Criminal Record Check approved by the mine
· Must be fluent in English is required
