Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, including skid steers, loaders, excavators, dozers, and graders. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform various tasks on construction sites safely and efficiently. The successful applicant will contribute to a range of projects such as paving, horizontal drilling, and general site preparation.
Duties
- Operate skid steers and other heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and graders to perform site work efficiently.
- Assist with construction activities including paving, grading, excavation, and horizontal drilling.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs or adjustments as needed to maintain equipment performance.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating skid steers and heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy equipment operation.
- Experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures is essential.
- Prior experience in horizontal drilling or other specialized construction techniques is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of Caterpillar machinery and other major brands like John Deere or Komatsu is preferred. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy equipment on job sites. A background in construction or related fields is highly desirable for this role.
Pay: $17.66-$38.94 per hour
