Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled AZ Shunter/Warehouse employee to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely loading and unloading trucks. Shunting trailers across the yard. This role requires a focus on safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. This is a night time position with a start time of 10:30pm and ends 8am the follow day. Your regular week would start Sunday evening and end Friday morning.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or power walkies as needed
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding freight issues
- Assist with the loading and securing of freight to prevent damage during transit
- Moving trailers from the dock to the parking spot and backing trailers into the dock
Requirements
- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record/CVOR
- Experience in commercial driving is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads when required
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Steel toe safety shoes
