Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Lead Carpenter. This role requires a strong background in various construction tasks, with an emphasis on quality workmanship, communication and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes experience in carpentry, concrete, and residential construction, enabling them to contribute effectively on Custom Building projects. Reliability and leadership skills are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute construction plans accurately.
- Perform/Guide Framing, Concrete pours, ICF forming and Rebar installation for structural integrity.
- Carry out projects including layout & elevations ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Conduct leadership & training with others to maintain productive work flow on site.
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong planning & communication skills required guiding our team and customers.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding construction elevations.
- Strong knowledge of concrete forming & framing techniques.
- Ability to respectfully lead, communicate and train labour in various environments.
- Solid understanding of construction processes & time management.
- Experience in concrete, forming, framing/carpentry work is needed for QC leadership.
- Demonstrated experience with a focus on quality craftsmanship across multiple trades.
- Capable of performing tasks efficiently while ensuring accuracy & guiding others.
