What would my role be?
Reporting to the Director, Facilities Management, you will be responsible for the delivery of all activities concerning the operation and maintenance of the facility and adjacent buildings and grounds (approximately 400 000 square feet) with an operating budget of $2 million.
Main tasks include, but not limited to:
- Prepare, monitor, and report on financial budgets.
- Participate in the implementation of energy management initiatives.
- Draft, Review and Implement an annual preventive maintenance program and manage the delivery of services.
- Oversee the delivery of renovation projects from project initiation to project closeout.
- Lead and coach a team of unionized trades and perform staff hiring, training, performance appraisals and discipline.
- Adherence to rules, regulations and procedures; compliance with all Occupational Health & Safety legislation, building codes, guidelines, standards, policies, procedures and practices.
- Prepare Facilities Condition Reports and Five-Year Major Repair and Replacement programs.
- Required to be available to support staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in case of emergency or building system failure.
How do I qualify?
Required:
- Undergraduate degree in Applied Science, Engineering, Architecture or Building Science.
- Minimum of five (5) years management experience in a complex facility.
- Experience in Infection Control measures for projects in a Healthcare setting.
- Experience in project management, coordination and organization.
- BOMA and, or IFMA designation; Certified Engineering Technologist; Certified Architecture or building Technologist; or member of Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) or equivalent.
- Fluent in French and English (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement.)

- Focused orientation in customer service responsive to our client needs.
- Advanced computer skills with Outlook, Excel, BAS system and CMMS systems, AutoCAD.
