Farmer Pete’s Ag Ltd is looking for a dependable, motivated, and hardworking Full Time Shop Hand to join our growing team. We specialize in agriculture, construction, and forestry equipment and are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a busy shop and yard environment.
This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in keeping equipment, parts, and the yard organized and operating efficiently.
Wage
- $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
- Wage based on experience
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturdays required
Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment, machinery, parts, and shipments
- Assist with dismantling and parting out agriculture, construction, and forestry equipment
- Prepare equipment and parts for shipping and transport
- Organize and maintain inventory, parts, and storage areas
- Assist customers and drivers with pickups and loading
- Keep shop and yard areas clean, safe, and organized
- Perform general yard maintenance and cleanup
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment as required
- Assist staff with general shop duties
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with basic tool knowledge
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labour
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift or equipment experience is considered an asset
- Experience in agriculture, heavy equipment, trucking, or salvage industries is an asset
- Valid driver’s license preferred
