Overview
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our Regional Fleet. This role involves safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, vehicle maintenance, and freight handling, with a focus on professionalism and safety compliance.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Assist with vehicle repairs or basic automotive troubleshooting when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Ensure proper securing of freight during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
Requirements
- Two years of verifiable experience in Canada & US.
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety.
- Ability to work independently in various weather conditions and environments.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
Pay: $20.50-$23.50 per hour
