JOB SUMMARY:
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for identifying and initiating high-potential new business relationships and aiding in the onboarding of new business opportunities.
JOB TASKS:

Initiate contact with potential clients to help develop new business opportunities
-
Achieve and maintain weekly contact objectives
-
Leverage social media to network and build relationships
-
Assist the Sales and R&D departments with keeping contact information up to date in our CRM
-
Assist with the continuous development of Inside Sales department strategies and tactics
COMPETENCIES:

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs
-
Must have working knowledge of professional social media platforms
-
Must have strong time management skills and the ability to maintain focus on repetitive outreach tasks
-
Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
-
Must be persistent and results-oriented, with a motivated and positive attitude
REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED:
-
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Experience working in a target-based or quota-driven position
-
Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g. CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot) and telephone systems

Proven experience in a call centre or similar sales/customer service role
