Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficient time management, and a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly desirable. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Experience with food handling, food safety protocols, and hospitality practices preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
