Our Sudbury, AB team is currently looking for a Fire Extinguisher Technician to join their branch! In this role, the successful candidate will be maintaining fire extinguishers and providing support in other fire safety related services as required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site annual and preventive services to national customers.
- Assist in emergency lighting and fire safety inspections
- Inspect, repair, test, dismantle, and clean Fire Extinguishers (per NFPA standards) using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment and monitoring devices
- Hydro-test high pressure cylinders.
- Service various different fire extinguishers (e.g. ABC, BC and CO2)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
- Certified to conduct annual inspection and service fire extinguishers.
- Industry experience considered an asset
- Skilled in inspection, repair, maintenance
- Ability to work with small tools
- Ability to lift 55 lbs
- Competent with the use of computers.
- Strong customer relations skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of NFPA 10 is an asset
