Qualifications
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Minimum OSMT (MLPAO) certified
- Good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated; able to prioritize activities
- Must be able to use initiative and work unsupervised
- Current experience in Histology environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Practical examination may be part of the interview process DUTIES &
Responsibilities
Duties include the following:
- Retrieval of slides and blocks
- Shipping of slides and blocks
- Filing of blocks requisitions and slides
- Weighing out buffer salts
- Organization of requisitions and blocks
- Troubleshooting the reconciliation of requisitions and blocks
- Maintenance of all temperature charts
- All other duties as assigned
