We are looking for a skilled and reliable Equipment Operator to join our crew. This role involves a combination of equipment operation and physical labour to support a wide range of paving and ground preparation projects.
We’re not looking to fill a position — we’re looking for the right candidate who brings proven skill, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow with the company.
Duties
- Set accurate grades for paving and ground preparation — strong knowledge of grades and elevations.
- Operate heavy machinery including skid steers, excavators, graders, and rollers.
- Perform hand labour where required using rakes, shovels, and plate tamps to achieve site results.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively and efficiently.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare equipment for operation based on project needs.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Occasionally work on paving crew when staffing needs require.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in setting grades
- Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steers, excavators, graders, rollers) preferred.
- Comfortable with physical labour in outdoor environments.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Class 3 or 1 license considered an Asset
- Previous paving or ground prep experience considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
