The Opportunity
Sundance College is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of an Instructor – Addictions & Community Health Professional. This role is an on-campus position at our campus in Calgary, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach students the established curriculum in a manner that best supports student learning and success;
- Engage and support students by bringing the educational material to life(!)… by developing creative lesson plans, learning strategies, topic based videos and fun learning activities;
- Develop and maintain effective, professional, and courteous communication with students;
- Work collegially in a team setting with other staff;
- Maintain relevant industry skills & knowledge and
- General administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary degree (preferred) or diploma in a related field
- Minimum 3 years related work experience
- A minimum 1 year of instructional experience or hold a training certificate in adult education.
- Experience in Addictions Treatment facility (preferred)
- Preference for those with basic teaching or training experience
- Good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Positive, supportive, engaging communication style
- Reliable, punctual and organized
- Above average teamwork & communication
- Computer literate i.e. Microsoft Office.
- Desire to engage and contribute to a fun, fast-paced, supportive environment.
