Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The right candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for quality and safety. Experience will need to be min 2 to 3 years. We are currently not hiring candidates looking for sponsorship. Must be legal to work in Canada.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling and preparation techniques.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and baking.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that satisfy customers.
