Wings of Care is looking for a few exceptional Part-Time Weekend Caregivers and Casual Care Workers to join our care team in our Fort St. John and surrounding area.
We are a locally owned, operated, and respected care company that believes in doing things differently. Restoring the quality of care and balance our seniors and Northerners truly deserve when in comes to their home and healthcare, and in most cases have been missing elsewhere. Because we provide one-to-one care, we carefully match caregivers with clients. Many of our clients, especially those living with dementia or struggling in memory, rely on routine, consistency, and familiar faces. That’s why we’re looking for people who can commit to a minimum of 6 months to 1 year and truly become a trusted part of someone’s care journey and our care team.
We’re looking for people who are:
- Reliable and consistently available on weekends
- Compassionate, friendly, and professional
- Willing to commit and build meaningful client relationships
- English-speaking and local to the area preferred
- Able to prepare familiar, well-loved Canadian cuisine and balanced meals, with an understanding of basic nutrition, healthy living, and incorporating light activity such as walks and engagement activities
- Hold a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable traveling throughout Fort St. John and surrounding communities and able to work alone for extended periods of time and or working with others
