Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English instructor to provide high-quality instruction in reading, writing, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, and special education, with a focus on fostering student engagement and academic growth. Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for various age groups.
- Provide instruction in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Proofread student assignments to ensure clarity, accuracy, and proper grammar.
- Offer individualized tutoring sessions to support students with diverse learning needs, including those in special education programs.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Maintain organized records of student performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student success and address any educational challenges.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in classroom teaching or tutoring, preferably in an educational setting focused on English language arts.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts to students of varying skill levels.
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail for proofreading and editing student work.
- Organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, record keeping, and managing multiple students.
- Experience in special education or working with students who have unique learning needs is highly desirable.
- Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in Education, English, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory. This position is ideal for educators committed to fostering literacy and language development while supporting students’ individual growth needs.
