The Requirements & Compliance Manager leads the management, verification and demonstration of compliance with the Project Agreement and project requirements across the MIP SESA Right Side of the V Organization. The role ensures contractual, technical, operational and regulatory requirements are fully traced to objective evidence supporting Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD), Construction Completion, Operational Readiness and City Acceptance. The role shall maintain regular liaison with the SESA & Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD) Lead / Validation Manager.
- Develop and maintain the Requirements Compliance Plan.
- Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verify allocation and closure of project requirements.
- Monitor compliance status and outstanding actions.
- Coordinate compliance with the Project Agreement and approved project plans.
- Verify objective evidence supporting compliance.
- Monitor non-compliances through to closure.
- Support audits and compliance reviews.
- Prepare compliance reports and dashboards.
- Maintain requirements and compliance registers.
- Support Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD).
- Support Construction Completion and City Acceptance activities.
- Coordinate requirements activities with Engineering, Construction, Testing, Systems Assurance and Operational Readiness teams.
- Maintain regular liaison with the SESA & Infrastructure Performance Demonstration (IPD) Lead / Validation Manager.
- Support executive reporting.
- Assist governance reviews and project audits.
- Improve requirements management processes.
- Promote best practice in compliance management.
- Capture lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in requirements management, systems engineering or compliance on major infrastructure delivery or railway projects. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience with requirements traceability and compliance verification with knowledge of Project Agreement and systems engineering principles.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred
- Ability to navigate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions
