TRK Helicopters is looking for a driven and self-motivated Apprentice AME, focused on obtaining your AME license and continuing your career with TRK. Working under the direction of a qualified AME, you will join our team at TRK Helicopters, servicing our diverse and growing fleet of Medium, Intermediate and Light turbine helicopters.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance on aircraft under the direction of the AME Lead Hand
- Perform all maintenance activities in accordance with the applicable airworthiness standards
- Complete all paperwork for assigned tasks in an accurate and timely matter
- Proper use of PPE equipment and recognizing safety as a number one priority
- General Hangar cleanup and organization
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Completion of Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance program
- Must have own basic mechanics toolbox & tools
- Ability to take initiative, take direction and learn quickly
- Multitasking and flexibility abilities
- Mechanically inclined, ability to work with your hands
- Computer knowledge
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work shift-work and overtime
- Physically fit, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as well as climb, kneel, and work frequently in tight spaces.
- Experience towing a trailer and Class 3 Driver’s License is an asset
Work Condition:
- You can be based either out of our main base of operation located at the Langley Regional Airport in BC or secondary maintenance facility in Villeneuve, AB. Travel is required to our bases throughout BC and Alberta as well as wherever our aircraft fly.
- Schedule during off-season is typically Monday to Friday at our Langley/Villeneuve Base
- Schedule during flying-season is typically 21-days on and 10-days off. Flying season is usually April to September.
